Returning for a second summer!
Meredith’s Testimony
At the age of five, I accepted Jesus as my Savior at a Good News Club in my elementary school, but that was only the beginning. As a child, I always felt drawn to God, but didn’t know how to further my relationship with Him. When I was five, my parents divorced, and I also had reoccurring nightmares and anxiety when I was young. However, when I decided to
consecrate myself at Camp Good News, it was as if my life turned around completely. I remember the nightmares stopping and as I learned more about God and drew closer, the anxiety lessened. The consecration decision has led me many places, and one of them is serving with CEF of Northumberland County.
Why participate in such an unusual summer?
God has this all planned out and will work it to further the Gospel, even in these unusual times (Jeremiah 29:11). I wish to serve because the Gospel should be taught in every circumstance, not just the ones we are used to or are comfortable with.
We are grateful God led Meredith to return. She will have a key role alongside the county director in showing the love of Jesus to children this summer. We cannot wait to see what God does!
